| Great songs! Both of them!!!! You always know JUST what to do David. In truth, there's not a whole bunch of players that have the ability to execute what they do in such a way that it compliments and helps to lift a musical project to a place where it takes center stage and is allowed to shine, without that player pulling the listener toward him or herself and away from the music as a whole. You are a master at this and yet it is only one of the reasons why I love your playing so much. Thank you for the lesson.... Seriously! Wonderful, D.L. Thank you for sharing this. | Beautiful stuff, Dave. I second Don's emotion. So solid the way it's supposed to be . . . so solid you don't even hear it because it blends so well. My latest youtube favorite: |

| Thanks Woofus, I learned the feel for the songs on that session right there with the artist, so there really wasn't much extra thought going into it which is a good thing sometimes.. Just play the esscence, and it sorta plays itself in some cases. Than you for listening, and I love the video you posted..only Stevie can pull that off man!----Great D.L. |

| The Philly-based Dixie Hummingbirds lost legend Ira Tucker about a year after that was filmed. A huge influence he was to the likes of people such as James Brown. A documentary about the group which began in 1928 came out last year. Ira Tucker joined in 1938 at age 13. |

| Wow, Woody, I think you're right! That's gotta be Gadd! The hair and height of the HH . . . and, of course, the strong Paul Simon connection. I must have viewed it 30x in the past few weeks and never realized . . . |

Hi Dave,
"Please" has a nice treatment by you in support of the song. Your strong transparency allowed my listening to the lyrics. I enjoyed the tune, while hoping to find "Baby can dance."
Strangely, Carsie's mood is similar to Mac Davis' when he wrote "Baby Baby Don't Get Hooked on Me."
| Quote: | Baby Don`t Get Hooked On Me(M.Davis) Girl, you're gettin' that look in your eyes And it's startin' to worry me I ain't ready for no family ties Nobody's gonna hurry me Just keep it friendly, girl, 'cause I don't wanna leave Don't start clingin' to me, girl, 'cause I can't breathe Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me 'Cause I'll just use you then I'll set you free Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me Girl, you're a hot-blooded woman-child And it's warm where you're touchin' me But I can tell by your tremblin' smile You're seein' way too much in me Girl, don't let your life get tangled up with mine 'Cause I'll just leave you I can't take no clingin' vine Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me 'Cause I'll just use you then I'll set you free Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me 'Cause I'll just use you then I'll set you free Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me |
You sound great Dave! |
