PostSubject: Some New Tracks From Ted   Fri Sep 11, 2009 2:24 pm

Hi Folks,

Here are some covers I just recorded while jammin with some friends. One is a live track from a club in the Bronx called Paddy Doherty's Ale House and the other two were done in my basement yesterday. No rehearsal for any of these really, just for fun. Not perfect either, but not bad either.

Hope you like them.

Very tasty, Ted, and cool to here the stuff from your basement hot-off-the-press. Nice basement studio! Definitely worthy of cranking in your convertible hovercraft when you're 90. Well done!

Thanks Keith,

Not sure I want to be around at 90 years old actually. Unless things are substantially better than they are now , that is ! LOL

Peace, TED

Ted, if you're not around, you'll be a square.

Great playing Ted! I particularly enjoyed Red Baron, which you handled well considering that those unison parts are not that easy to execute precisely, and you did all this without any rehearsal! Well done indeed.

Kind regards,
Anders

Ted, you guys get better each time I hear you... I really enjoyed the laid back feel of Red Baron. Dug that little chromatic line you guys placed in the melody verse. My only critique would be what seemed to me to be an excessive amount of cymbal crashes... Very smooth though... Soulful guitar player, Yeah! Loved the groove and feel.

Keep up the great progress.

D.

thanks Don, for listening and for the kind words.

These were my e-drums so the problem is the way the cymbals trigger - they don't play like real cymbals so when I hit them, no matter how hard or softly, they trigger the same. And one part of the cymbal gives a crash sound while the rim gives a china sound. the ride cymbal hs the ride sond , and a bell sound. So I'm kind of limited to what I can do. Not an excuse, just an explanation

And this isn't my cover band you're listening to btw. this is Tim Curtin and a friend of his Big Bos on bass. We hope to be able to do some more jammin in the future.

Peace, TED
