My personal thanks go out to Pete Corona for putting this up after our conversations by phone.

If the term 'covers' appears, then tracks were provided to me for overdub w/acoustic drums.

If the term 'covers' does not appear, then those are just a few of the commercial label releases (or custom projects) that I performed on and felt free enough to upload... at least “free” meaning I’m the drummer without infringing anyone’s copyright for sale.

Then, there is a third category: namely ‘stuff’ ...

Couple days ago I updated this page documenting some rock experience. The first tune River Runner has some of my strongest rock drumming, so thought I'd share it here. It's all live stuff in one take. I also slaved over the particular yellow background color and still not sure it's right

p.s.- it was 9.9.09 Beatles Day which inspired the update including, of course, a cover of One After 909.

Hi Folks,

Here are some covers I just recorded while jammin with some friends. One is a live track from a club in the Bronx called Paddy Doherty's Ale House and the other two were done in my basement yesterday. No rehearsal for any of these really, just for fun. Not perfect either, but not bad either.

    Hope you like them.

Just thought I'd post something a little different from me... Just so you don't think I'm stuck on r&B and funk, here's a video clip of my Fusion band, "Manny's Groove Tubes" doing a Dave Weckl piece called "Wake up". It shows a side of my playing that you rarely get to see, because I rarely get to do! We rehearsed this one time and then went out and performed it. Needs work, but not too shabby for the first ...

Here we are fooling around with "Chameleon" at a recent show... Note of interest: The opening sax solo you hear is by Britney Biala, the 13 year old daughter of Joint Chiefs saxophnist, Bill Biala. I simply love her phrasing along with her ability to follow a progression. Britney has a real passion for the sax.... She's going places should she decide to keep playing.

Enjoy.

Hi folks,

Well after not playing in a band for a few years I finally decided it was time to get my butt back out there again. I had re-connected with an old band mate whom I had not seen in about 18 years. He was still playing with a few groups, but not really happy with the personnel. So he asked me if I wanted to put something together again. I figured why not so we contacted our old bass player from Route 66, and he asked three players from two of the other bands he was playing with ...

No sooner than I walk in the door than a Lady mentions my name asking if she thought she is seeing what looking at. My attention was drawn to her and I immediately ...

Slapped this page together a few days ago documenting 30 years back. I had been playing drums 2.5 years at 17. Very fun to share with the band; I'm still in touch with all . . .

For one of our original tunes, Firetruck, one of the sections is Panhandler from Funky Thide of Sings. We weren't so funky, but it's not how good you are, it's how good you steal. Loved that record back then and still do. I remember playing it for them in my room at home suggesting ...

I did this just today.... A person I met (Jeff) at the recording studio where my band just finished up a cd project, who was an engineer at Lockheed was recently laid off. He does a little guitar playin and some singin and decided to writhe this tune concerning his recent plight. He asked if I'd lay a drum track to this one tune... While listening to it, it reminded me of something you might come up with... As comical as it is, it certainly hits home concerning the current economic ...

I've been a Billy Cobham fan for a long time (Spectrum and his performance in Athens sometime in the early 80's were two of the main reasons I started playing drums), and was a member of the old BC forum before the hack. Just found this site and was glad that there's a new (at least to me) forum. I even remembered a few members' names from the old forum.

I thought that posting my take on Stratus from Conundrum, would be as good an introduction as any. It's by no means ...

I find that slow blues can be a bit boring. My opinion though is if you're gonna sing it and play it, this is how it should be done. EC scott is a true master at writing and performing it.

I did this show last Wednesday night with her at the Little Fox Theater in Sunnyvale Ca.

Her own original tune, btw.

Incidently, I am scheduled to do a Euopean tour with her this year from late June to mid August. Switzerland, Paris, Spain, Rome and Russia also.

That's the name of our new original tune that we recorded a few weeks ago.

Here is the link to it: http://metrocast.net/~rhythm/Soldier%20Son%2012-01-08.mp3

This was recorded with the DW drums the studio provided. I used my cymbals and snare drum.

Turn it up and let me know what you guys think about it.

This is a first mix, so there is plenty of room for adjustment. There is also an intro that hasn't been added, yet, that has a middle eastern flavor to it, like the ending.

I just started playing again yesterday, and the knee is still sore, but getting there. My musical partner in Psylicon, Larry, is starting to work on a new piece so I sent him a basic drum track for him to start working with, about a minute and a half. I decided to have a little fun with it, and dialed up my Indian tabla kit on the Roland and added some percussion to the track. So here it is: a minute and a half of midnight in india with sri and the 7-11's. LOL Peace, TED

Go here and click on the Akil and friends tab to here a little groove we hit at a Benefit we played for the Ronald McDonald house This past Saturday. It was something we threw together and this is the bass player's (Akil Wemusa) solo section.

Clicking on the arrow right next to the song title will get you the clearest audio.

Thanks to Pete for establishing the drummer's Bytes thread again. I'll put up a few examples of my playing, though most of you have heard them all before.

TNT - two tunes I did with Guitarist , vocalist Tim Curtin from the legendary Pig Vomit band - one two days ago, and the other last year which will be included on the upcoming Palers Project 2008 double CD. That's the Procol Harum fan club whose members record songs by Procol members which helps raise money to run the website and fan club. ...
