From the album LIVE at the X! (Celebrating the music of Miles Davis, Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae & Shirley Horn) Lynette Washington and Dennis Bell Jazz NY with Bruce Harris, Bruce Williams, Janelle Reichman, Noriko Ueda & Victor Jones. Recorded at ARTSWESTCHESTER, White Plains, NY as part of the NewUrban Jazz Series Tom Van Buren & Bob Baldwin-Curators
For some of the purists out there, I'm pleased that my friend Dennis Bell (NYC) has just released a CD commemorating those noted above. In my opinion, he and his ensemble do a very tasty job - everyone playing the music without overpowering its' presentation.
Congratulations Dennis. Hope you guys enjoy this.
Regards,
Suss
P.S. Yes; this is the same Dennis Bell that wrote and recorded "Mars Aflame" with me right at the time I moved south from NYC:
