This is the stuff that needs to be preserved. I don't hear real raw groove any more. Where did it all go?

Most people would consign that sound to an era, the 60s-70s, which is the age bracket of the band's youth, same as ours. It's what I did in top 40 bands for a living and then got into the "other" stuff I was really into on off hours. Obviously these guys play it because they love it.

I imagine there are musicians who will play this for many years to come. The question is, are there people to continually listen? I didn't notice a pan of the audience. I wonder if the audience is the same age bracket as the musicians.

I understand. I was just referring to basic groove that should be applied to any era. Buy with much of what's going on today, I don't hear it anymore or less.
Thanks for your comments.

I may be wrong but, electronics seems to have taken away "groove" that was so significant in prior times. The 80s got sterile. Rock got ugly and violent, everything became about sexuality, and grandfather bands are still on the road giving people "groove" while songs 50 years old are being used behind commercials. There's a big disconnect in society like never before. There's always an age bracket thing, but even my daughter has no use for modern music, for the most part. She'd rather hear beach music from the 60s and 70s. She likes 'wipe out.'
