Nice! I use a cajon a lot when I can get away with it. Played it at a birthday party for a 90 yr old man last night. Everyone comes up and asks about it every gig. I tell them how it came from Peruvian slaves whose drums became outlawed so they started using crates and how it's been adopted by flamenco musicians. One thing that really gets them is changing the pitch with your foot like a talking drum or tympani. Take your shoes off and your socks glide really well on the surface to make full melodic sections and fills. I use it on here http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/theklezmonauts1

30 years ago, this keyboardist
and saxophone player were in
a band together and I was the
drummer.  It was Bob's 55th
birthday and his wife found the
players she could from that era
and had them come to surprise
him and we did.

The cajon surprised everyone,
too. It was incredible to see
them again and how we have
all changed and what we have
gone through. He was happy.

I was but it was low in the
mix.  Out of my control.

The nylon brushes really
worked.  I was surprised.

I saw that one, Don and it
did look real nice.  I played
it and it was nice but just
not double nice.
