I have heard this man's name for years, but have never seen him or heard him play. The man is incredible.

Loved that. Guitarist is especially awesome. This is the kind of jazz drum stuff i'm looking to pick up new approaches and techniques. The way he holds the sticks loose i think is Moller technique. In the fast section that simple fast ride cymbal pattern is crucial for me right now. just to play that one pattern ting a ting on some tunes for the entire tune is harder than I think. Just to stay focused and NOT changing it and playing the rest of the kit only with the other hand/feet.
that's the trick for me right now, restraint on one side, freedom on the other. Thanks for posting, I remember Humair being on the early Jean luc Ponty jazz recordings.
