Interesting thoughts on playing the drums, from an incredible drummer. This is a 3rd part open clinic, just prior to his surgery. Great musician/drummer of all time, forever in my heart since my beginnings to now....always.

Is there a dvd of this? I've watched this a few times since I first saw it on yt. I've never seen any store bought dvd associated with it.

His voice, his language is so ... his, it is so unmistakable. When I watch him I feel as though I am watching some kind of scientist in a lab or something. It goes beyond watching a drummer do his thing. Not sure why that is. It's like watching a wood carver, or painter or something. He builds and sculpts things behind the drums. It's more than strokes, rudiments, dynamics, elements of speed or what have you. Hard to explain. I watch him and find myself lost to my surroundings.
