Interesting. I just looked at some images of Clark in a hospital bed with Wyntin Marsel (trumpet) doing a special performance right there along side his bed. Great performer indeed. I got the name confused with Terry Clark the big band drummer and ended up pulling up Clark in the hospital with Marsel's band. Cool and RIP

He was 94, a life to be celebrated.

I thought this was an interesting production, Friendship, recorded in 2002 at 81. A duet with Max Roach:

Wow 94
years....wonderful! Most musicians of this era and through the early sixties seem to pass in their 50s. God blessed this man with a wonderfully long and musically enjoyable life.
