I always thought Spyro Gyra was a little too mellow for me. Yikes! This was in the side bar so I gave it a try while I'm painting. This concert is smokin' hot, and Lee Pearson is just incredible. Never heard of him. Wow. Some fine moves, man.

The concert is not as long as the time listed. Other SG albums are also put in the video.

Pearson's solo is around 48 min. in, if you want to jump to it.

drumman

You missed out on a lot, Spyro Gyra has always had some great drummers in the band, Lee Pearson didn't join until 2012.

Eli Konikoff in the 70's/early 80's, then replaced by Richie Morales 1984-1990, then Joel Rosenblatt from 1991-2003.

Lee is just one of many sidemen they have had since Joel left, and he is very new to the fold.
Check out some of Spyro's releases from 1984-1997, that is some of their best stuff.

I'll have to check that stuff out. Thanks.

Eli Konikoff. I have never heard that name. Can't say I have ever heard Rosenblatt in any context. Not that I remember. I've only seen him in magazines years back.
