Robert Sput: Snarky Puppy

It's actually a Tama promo, but well worth the ear.
Drummer, Robert Sput is currently with the band, Snarky Puppy, a band that D had recommended to check in on. Very nice and relaxed drummer that's saying a lot on the kit in modern terms. I enjoyed it very much hope you will as well.

Oh, and BTW, I enjoy Tama for the past 5 years and till this day, I'll never regret purchasing a kit (Japan brand).

Marvelous player!  Groove, precision, power and authority.
He has this cool little thing that I call the backward hi hat
where he takes his stick and places the body of it on the
top of an open hi-hat.  He then pulls the stick back as if
to scrape it along the edge of the hats and then quickly
closes them making it sound as if the sound was played
in reverse...  Very cool and I'd never seen anyone do that
before!  I started using that technique and find it fun and
quite effective.  Monster player and as Rac mentioned
earlier, if you get the chance to see Snarky Puppy don't
pass it up.

Also, note that he can play on either side. Simon Phillips
is the only other drummer I know who does this so completely.
