By that I mean there's a new product, if you've not heard yet, called the Booty Shakers. It supposedly enhances or increase the depth to vintage drums. Reason it got my attention is because of my most recent purchase of a 1952 snare drum. Although I feel that it doesn't need any improvement except maybe a minor replacement to the snare holder, other than that I like it just the way it is. However, the product I'm bringing to attention here is a foam-created disk(s) or floaters, as they call it, that raises the drum from the stand and floor given the drum more resonance which they felt was lacking in older (vintage) drums. Now this is obviously a cheaper, not necessarily incompetent attempt, to the familiar floating rim idea thats been in market for the past couple of decades or so.
After looking into this new yet old concept to drum enhancements can we safely say "could this be another market attempt of a product...say the heroic attempt to the Kick Port?
Anyway, just thought you may be interested enough to maybe check it out and voice an opinion ?
