Its on a CD with new 17mins Suite at the end
track 18.
1997 CD.

I found out Emil Richards is the Percussionist.
who was the drummer?

I play it on the LG 5.1 system
that upgrades the sound.

Echoflex analog delays in 1968
I think had just come out.

Jerry Goldsmith's
Forum is now Locked Up
so I can not ask that great Piano Player / Music arranger

with the score done again
Nice photo of Emil Richards

Alternate takes of 3 tracks

This CD is much LOUDER.

Being you've mentioned recordings being softer in comparison to other recordings, why is that? I have a cd recording where I have to nearly turn the volume way past the 35 level to hear it decently. Why is that? Just thought I ask. It's frustrating
Thanks

Some years ago I had Ramsey Lewis  "Salongo " with Percussionist Derf Reklaw  1976  USA CD
then I bought a Master Sound  Japan Edition 1977 "Love Notes"  Derf Reklaw, is also on every track on that.
Derf plays many more instruments even
Alto sax and flute  and has a Top Quality Conga Break on Stash Dash.
Also Stevie Wonder is on 2nd keyboards  on 2 tracks.

I put both onto one CD
for My OWN personal CD player, back then.

So Salongo USA CD is First
Then the Master Sound Japan edition is next
the sound level Jumps Up.

Massive Difference,
this is why any 24bit CD's are best to buy.

And For Example Lenny White's first recording  with Doug Rauch (Bass), Ray Gomez (guitar)
and Older Larry Coryell   and younger Al DiMeola  together ,long track.
is on a woundedbird CD  , back then NOT 24bit mastered.

If Japan does a Official Limited Edition 24bit version   (as that label is the same as Jan Hammer
who  ensured his first recording on   a 24bit master)
I would pay over £100  for  Lenny White  1975
as that recording is Special  to me
Lenny is also on Percussion and a Moog Drum , short track.
Very Inspiring

I am VERY familiar with the
recording, Colin and I will
see if I can find out who did
it for Jerry.

That would be fantastic Pete,
As that Original Soundtrack  matters so much to that great 1968 film,
To me Jerry hired some of very best  as he was under time and budget
and always achieved High Quality Sounds
It was Pre Octabans  so Emil had a set from Brazil
that did not use much metal.

It is one of my favorites.
He really pushed the edge
on this one having the per-
cussion section experiment
with different ideas/sounds.

It does not answer the query
but...

...it is an interesting analysis.

I am listening to the part
you mentioned and it is exact.
I am continuing the hunt.

*Listening*

What a monumental score!
It was ground-breaking and
I believe: WAY-AHEAD of
its time.
