Hey Anibal !

Glad you finally made it to this site ! We've been hiding out here on this site that Pete created because Boomer's site kept getting attacked by evil people.

I see you had another festival in Panama. Did you run this one too ?

that was a nice video of you and Dave Fuscinski but I think Woofus might take exception that your bass player borrowed his dog's name chispa ! LOL

I also watched your power chops video. What I noticed immediately is that you changed your posture. When we all saw your first videos on the old site, we couldn't understand how you could sit so far back and away from the kit, and still get your speed and power. On the current video you're now sitting up straighter and closer to the kit. Was this a conscious effort on your part, or did it just happen ?

Either way, you're playing is still getting stronger, and we look forward to hearing from you again. Peace, TED

Hi Ted!
I knew about this forum since january, Suss send me the link, but in those days I was moving to another apartment and I did´nt have internet.
Yes I organized the second version of the Panama drum fest with Billy Cobham, and the local drummers, it was a huge success. Boomer played with local percusionists and performed a drum solo improvisation. I will post some pics later.
Regarding my drum solo video...well I´m still using my snare as high as posible and I´m sitting really High and away from the kit, maybe because of the angle of the camcorder does´nt show it at all. lol!

Thank you for your comments!!

There is one thing that can be said about you if nothing else, wolo... You definately march to the beat of a different drummer.

And that is surely a good thing.

Don.

Hey Ani... how are things in Panama beyond what you evidently show you are keeping up with. You are a monster player hombre, and I love ya.

hey Suss! everything is ok here, i´m into some new business projects that i´ve been looking forward many years ago. On the drumming field, well i´m still into african drumming and studying the roots of what we have here in Latinamerica...everything in drums comes from Africa. and I´m obsessed with that

I was checking out Chispa, the bass player, the other day! The word means "spark" en espanol . . . for a dog such as mine, a Spanish Water Dog (Perro de Agua Espanol), I thought it would be a cool name; like Sparky. The SWD is a very rare and primitive breed, only a couple hundred in the USA, if that. Chispa is actually from Spain and went through customs in Miami at age 10 weeks. She's also known in small circles as The Black Rocket and Chipoo, as well as Huppa Cuppa Tuppa Wuppa. But her full name is Chispa de Vida, Spark of Life.

I'll bet Chispa the bassist lives up to his moniker like only a bassist can . . . then again, a drummer can really spark-up a band . . .

Anibal, nice to see you here . . . very solid stuff. Stay obsessed!
