I'm doing research for my Electronic Design class and I can't seem to dig up enough solid information. My assignment is creating a ad advertising vintage drums. I need more detail and usefull information here. Can someone give me suggestions as to where , who, what company, or sites I can further my research here.?

I would appreciate that.

D, I remember you having dialogue with a vintage drum technician? If you don't mind, could you give me his website or email please. I would really appreciate that.

Thank you guys.

Sincere regards,

Here's a video from Steve Maxwell's shop in NY, These guys really know they're stuff about vintage drums, there's also other vids in this series.

Start at these links, I did some research on vintage drums in the past, for my Premier snare and my recent 1966 or 67 Ludwig snare. I have some more sites if you need them.

That would be wonderful Spanky. Daves suggested sites gave me a substantial and interesting start. But I could use more on some really really old stuff - possibly as far back as the 1920s? Whatever type of drums it does not matter at this point. Vintage drums covers a lotta ground when it comes to drum history here. There are tons of sites of people owning these kits but not really saying anything significant about them.

Thank you Dave and Spanky for the great leads. You guys are great!

Okay folks, with the information sent by Spanky and Dave I finalized "factitiously" an ad for my electronic graphic's course. Time in research went into it though it may not show here but it all filtered down to it's most simplistic form to communicate it's objective here. The ad would have been a 6"X8" something you would commonly see in a musician's magazine like Modern Drummer, etc., bla bla. We only had but a few days (3) to meet it's due date. Anyway, just a little something I want to share here. Wished I had more time on it but that is the beast of the advertisement world...they needed it last week. haha!

Again, this is a Factitious ad and is not in any way or form used outside of it being just a course assignment here. Okay?
