I don't know one way or the other. But i am open minded enough to hear out the possibilities. This guy makes a strong argument and it makes sense. They could have just been racists and not any kind of government task force. Or the drugs that jimi used might have finally been the last insult his body could take. i don't know but jimi had enormous talent that i do know.

And even though, Colin knows this all too well, he'll never publicly admit it. Funny, I can remember when 9/11 took place we were getting posts about the chickens coming home to roost from our England based neighbors. but on 7/7/05 when the subway bombings in London took place, our friends from across the pond suddenly became eerily silent.

I'll tell you something, I've really been biting my tongue as of late because I want the atmosphere here to remain a positive one and I know that this is what Pete would like... But I could sure go for some of these folks (namely one) that don't and couldn't play an instrument if their lives depended on it to just go away.

Stick to informing us about upcoming CD's, Colin and like Ted said keep your anti-American sentiments to yourself or at least away from here. There are plenty of websites for that. Just look for the ones with the swastika next to them.

I sure hope you're enjoying your "real freedom." One day you might consider sending a thank you letter to the foreign country that is at the ready to defend it for you!

The board has mostly been peaceful for a good while. why ? because the discussions have been kept to music, drums and music-related topics. Colin you're at your best when you keep to those issues as when you inform us about a CD release or re-issue.

but every now and then you spit out anti-American venom. Whether or not you mean to do it, I don't know but it sure comes across to me that way. I wasn't happy with G. W . Bush either - so I helped vote him out of office. I voted for Gore who actually won the election that put Bush in office in the first place. However much I disagreed with what happened , I carried on and supported my country and president no matter what.

Why ? Because I'm a vet - Vietnam era. I didn't like what happened then either, but I still served my country for 4 years and did what I was asked to do. How about you ? Were you ever in the military, or any kind of public service for your country ??
I'd love to hear about it . My guess is the answer would be no.

I also worked at Ground Zero for MONTHS after 9/11 in the reconstruction of the World financial Center which is directly across the street from where the World Trade Center once stood. Every day I looked into that HOLE that you no doubt saw on your television..... Every day I watched them pull out bodies and pieces of bodies and load them into this little cart which they would bring to the section where the forensic specialists would go thru what was brought. I saw this every single day for months.

So when you push our buttons as you gleefully seem to do every once in a while, you're gonna get a reaction . Especially from the vets. And lest you forget Boomer is a U S Army vet too. Woody is a U S Marine vet. And I'm sure there are others, forgive me if I didn't mention you.

Don't talk shit to me about my country on this board. Having visited here doesn't mean you're pro-American. Your words seem to speak your sentiments. As I said you're entitled to dislike America or whomever you wish. Just don't put it on this website.

I think Ted pretty much summed things up while hitting the nail square in his last post.

Just keep that crap to yourself, Colin. You must remember that when you push, others push back.
So the best fix for that is not to push. Whatever G. W. Bush did or was, he was still our president
and we don't start pointing fingers and turning our backs on our country, our home because of his
short comings. Anything that you can find bad to say about this land you will. I have not once read
where you acknowledged the fact that an evil tyrant was captured in Iraq and disposed of because of U.S.
troops. those kinds of things are never mentioned. You never mention the fact that when there is a
world disaster, it's the U.S. that is usually always first on the scene and is the largest financial
contributor in such cases. When people defect from their countries, where do they defect to? YOU
tell me Colin.

I really like what this person had to say concerning the criticism of the u.S. concerning disaster relief
in different parts of the world. This was concerning Haiti:

We were also the first major country on the scene and rendered the most aid to Indonesia after the tsunami. Fact is, if the U.S. should decide to mind their own business, countries all over the globe would be in a world of hurt. We're called warmongers and bullies right up until there's a major earthquake, or a tsunami somewhere in the world. You enjoy the freedom you do, Colin because your land shares our basic standard belief of democracy... Remember, this country had to fight its way out of the hands of a British stronghold. And now the two countries work together as allies sharing a common bond of liberty and freedom. So take a look at the larger picture and the sacrifices made by your country and it's leaders as well as ours. And take a larger look at the wonderful liberties and freedom you enjoy everyday because of them, and those like Ted, Woody and Billy who served, fought and even gave their lives so that you can have the right to sit back in the luxury of your dwelling while hiding behind your computer keyboard without allowing yourself to be accountable for anything, and bash their homeland and very thing they fought and died for.

You're a real piece of work.

Everyone has a right to their opinion, Colin. In any case I haven't read anything from Billy where he's bashing America and americans. But our personal beliefs and opinions are not the issue. George Bush is out of the presidency and it's time to stop with the anti-American sentiments and move on.... I guess I might react the same way if I was in your shoes. But even though you have professed to be an atheist, a number of us have already, and still continue, to pray for you. For that is what our faiths instruct us to do. You can continue to be a valuable member of this forum if you keep the politics and most of all, the cheap shots, out of your posts.
