I was not able to get onto Ted's web site, my Norton internet security blocked
access to the page and said it was a "malicious" web page.
Strange, anybody else try the web site recently?

I just tried it and had no problems. Google Chrome on a Mac, don't know if that makes a difference.

I certainly do not have a malicious website but if there is a problem wouldn't it be better to bring it to MY ATTENTION first ???

thanks for visiting.

That is normal for some anti virus programs you can go into it's control panel and set it. Some anti virus programs will see certain sites as a virus or a trojan. And sometimes for good reason people will use certain sites to spread malware, without the owner even knowing it. But that is not always the case.

Rac, that's the only kit I have been playing since 1970 . I don't bring Billy's old Octobans nor one of the floor toms, nor all the cymbals because I play in small clubs mostly.

and the kit is in cases ready to go. I practice on my Roland.

thanks for asking. and it's a 1968 Ludwig if that might have been your next question.

I've upgraded my hardware in the last year - new Demon Drive double bass pedal, new Roc n Soc throne, new hi'hat and new snare stand so it feels like a new kit. New heads - Evans hydraulics , black color . custom resonant bass drum head with port. So the photos you see are not what I'm actually playing, though the drum shells are the same.

If I bought a new kit, I'd have a storage issue. I have enough problems finding room for my extensive music collection.

So while it would be nice to get a new one, I'm happy with my old friend . I'm sure Woody has similar reasons.

I actually like the sound of my Ludwig rockers. The maple shells seemed to have mellowed the sound after 40 years.
Storage is an issue with me, also, Ted, as I don't have the room for extra sets. The set I have I leave packed in their cases ready to gig with. I use a Roland V-session to practice with and that kit is all set up in my practice room. I just sit down and play whenever the mood strikes me.
I always fantasize about getting a new kit but I figure I can only play one set at a time. There are some nice used kits available all the time for cheap money and some deals to be had.
Also, if money wasn't an issue I'd probably have more kits than what I am accustomed to.

I agree that like you , Woody, the sound of my Ludwig kit has only gotten better sounding. It's maple, like yours. And I have my roland kit set up for practice, as you do.

military minds think alike ! LOL
