SPECTRUM 40 TOUR ANNOUNCED !

For those of you who haven't checked Boomer's calendar lately, he will be touring for a few weeks in January to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Spectrum . Joining him will be Jerry Goodman on violin, Gary Husband on keys , Dean Brown on guitar and Ric Fierabracci on bass .

right now there are 11 shows happening on the East and West coasts ( NY, PA , MA , VA, and CA ) . See his calendar for dates and locations. First show is Jan. 16 at BB King's in NYC where he also played for the 30th Anniversary of Spectrum .


Preceding that show , he will be performing 10 shows at the Blue Note in trio again with Ron Carter and Donald Harrison . Those shows begin Jan. 8th.


Just as the Rascals will be giving me my Christmas present this year, Boomer will be giving me my New Year's gifts ! To say I am looking forward to these shows would be an understatement . Thank you Boomer , and I look forward to seeing you once again !

I hope as many of you as possible will come out and support these shows because that's the only way he's going to be able to keep doing them !!!!!!!!

Nothing even semi-close to me.

Saw the Spectrum 40 show last night at the Birchmere. .... .Great show. .... .See it if you are able. .... .If a DVD of this appears, I want it.

During the show Boomer did a drum solo which started out quiet. .... .he was playing with his bare hands. .... .it sounded to me like he was snapping his fingers while striking the drum (where I was sitting it was difficult for me to see his fingers), and it was a nice effect. .... .a new one for me.

Glad you went ! Yes he was snapping his fingers on the drums . There are some of his solos from the tour on other threads and there are some photos on my thread about getting my new years presents.
