Johnathan executes some of the deepest grooves. I just
can't see what it is he does with all the equipment he uses
that he can't do with a 4 piece set of drums...

Looks good though!

A 4 piece kit looks boring on a large stage, there is an entertainment factor in there as well.
Also, he doesn't have to set up this kit himself or carry it or pay for it....lol.

A lot of the drums he uses are close in range to each other tone wise, he could stand to knock off a few.
I don't think you can distinguish between some of the toms because they are all larger sizes.

I just looks so cool and I am sure it is real fun to play and to be surrounded by drums.
It is less scary with a big crowd, when you have a lot of drums to hide behind...lol.

Yeah, I guess, drumman.  I figure at the end of the day,
and with this type of music most of your audience is going
to remember more what was up on stage and not so much
what was done with it.

I think it is just me but
when I do not use a piece
of my kit tastefully, I am
embarrassed.

He can groove clearly.  I
see it as Don does.

Oh, well.

I recall watching Steve
play and how I was so
impressed at how big his
small kit sounded.

Ha, All that stuff up there,
I'd just like to see him use it,

Well, that was confusing. Was he at a drum show or something?

He played to backing tracks that sounded like Michael Jackson(?) using a massive drum set he barely touched.

He must have used all the drums at some point during that event.  scratch

Johnathan Moffet has always used large setups
Asaph, (The term "used" is implied very loosely here)
even back when he began working with the Jacksons
and then Michael.  In that time I have NEVER seen or
heard where he's actually utilized all the gear he's sat
behind.  Not saying he hasn't, but I've never seen or
heard him do it.
