Colin:
The compositions that you asked me about were recorded for Columbia Records in 1978. Unless you saw them mentioned in the credits of the Atlantic Box Set I would say no, they have not been included. Boomer

Yes Early Track  (alternate version) Early Libra
that only Sony UK  "later" released
was "still" with the 1977 band musicians.
But I understand what you are saying.

I have not found total track  listings
Only the CD's within  the box set.

Yes I think thats Correct
Thanks Anders

That link i got from
http://www.musictap.net/2015/08/04/8cd-billy-cobham-the-atlantic-years-1973-1978-planned-for-september/
as he has loads of new CD reviews.  (like Paul McCartney  Big Box sets of Tug of War 1979-80)
But has made the  Big  Error of putting a CBS CD among this Full Atlantic set.
So whoever gave him the CD list
did  not have the correct list

[9 - Natural Essence
10 - Natural Essence]

Great to have two Outtakes from 1976  Life & Times bonus
Doug Rauch , John Scofield and George Duke Band
Studio.

Not sure about Hip Pockets bonus  track
as it could be a single?

Not so great liner notes by M. Riley, many errors in it (talking about John Scofield instead of John Abercrombie for the first albums, ...) ... does this guy really know about Billy's carreer and jazz-rock/fusion era ? I've just the impression that it was written quickly for the release, with a sort of track-by-track quick analysis, but not with the depth I was eventually searching for.

Liner notes for "Rudiments" (Billy Cobham 2-CD anthology) were a lot better and had Billy talking about his life.

Other than this, the box set is great, I'm just wondering what the group "Natural Essence" was ?

I've found that : http://www.discogs.com/artist/743492-Natural-Essence-2 and I don't see the "link" with Billy "Life & Times" ?

The Link of Natural Essense  was it
was at the same time
of recording  around  1975

The review is from a   Drum Magazine
so not the same as the last 2CD.
It makes a change.

For  me its great to have all these  tracks in 24bit at last
WEA/Atlantic/Rhino used the Top Mastering Studio
to transfer all  into to 24bit.

I have many CD's  but when you hear 24bit
its so much better
sorry for going on about it so much.
