I just picked up the John Mayer dvd "Where the light is." This concert was recorded and filmed in L.A. and it has a very unique twist on it. John does three different shows, three different formats, in one night, all at the same forum.

The first show is just him with an acoustic guitar.

The second show is a trio format with Pino Palladino on bass and Steve Jordan on drums. (Rock and Blues)

The third performance is a full band set with John and seven other players (Pop)

John's singing and playing is nothing less than great and his players are all top notch.

Audrey and I sat down and watched the entire show in Blu-ray High definition with surround sound and it was off the chain.

As Colin would say:

"10 outta 10."

Don
this BluRay Music Disc is Bliss.

Track 3 'Panther' Marcus Miller with Lee Ritenour , George Duke
and Vinnie Colaiuta on Drums
is great.

So great Ramsey Lewis got Benny Golson on this great gig
in Dolby 5.1
(all you need is the Optical lead from your BluRay player
to your 7.1 system etc)
and , of course, for any that have it DolbyTruHD sound.

This is Quality every spectrum of Jazz is on here
with Marcus Miller doing the Fusion Jazz track.

Another great disc
and the one only time of this Legends band.

When Marcus Solos
Eric stops playing Guitar.

Eric on here is Bliss playing like a Session player
great Solos and Licks.
Like having Larry Carlton and BB King in one, in a way.

Dave Sanborn on his Special Mic to his Alto Sax
is great
Joe Sample Perfect.

Steve Gadd ideal for this Multi Talent band.
With a Solo that is Pure Bliss on his Yamaha Drums.

(Hey Pete - how can you catch Steve on Drums, here,
if you do not have BluRay?)

I do not work for BluRay, by the way.
