Very insightful history Pete! The pictorials are more descriptive than the rants from pundits.

BTW Colin, (with respect):

... it is proper to follow an adjective with an adverb rather than another adjective or another verb: ("Educated" vs. "correct."). "Educated," though descriptive in intent as a noun, is intransitive in the English language - and should have been followed by the word "correctly!" Within any language, such is grammatically correct to keep the same tense (even when what is spoken is "on-going"). It also maintains proper syntax... LOL!

Hmmm... need I have reminded you of that - you Englishman!? Very Happy

I certainly hope none of us are finished yet! It is a new day for everyone smart enough to discern the times. Maybe our political leaders will embrace this truth... in the meantime...

Let's stop "ducking" each other and get down to business in the Best Way available to us. Respect our leaders with skin. They are paying (or have Paid) a high price (or the Ultimate One) to be where they are even, or for us to enjoy our liberties. If we don't agree with them from time to time, then at least take the time to reflect on the sacrifices made rather than naively come back with scant appreciation for the fight and those still fighting. There are many more who cannot be called Veterans, than those memorializing them (regardless of what sovereign Nation we hail from). In fact, pray for them/us - and study yourself to show yourself approved. The battle is not theirs, nor ours, but the Lord's. There's a bigger picture here that many seem oblivious.

Above all else, display the fruit that others wish to harvest, rather than pick when it has already fallen to the ground. Galatians 5:22. Today is Veteran's Day in the United States - I respect the sacrifices, but have found something better if only there are hearts and ears to hear. In fact, it'll take more than the five sense. It will take investment in each at a time when such seems so unprofitable.

Against such Fruit, there is, nor ever shall be, any law.

Nice set of DW's, John.

You know, I think I have the same leather stick bag as you have in that picture.

The question is do you have the same "heart!..." and "will" to follow through and cooperate! - not a freakin' stick bag!(?)

LOL! [yeah, that bag is my musical quiver... I reserve the right to withold the other arrows when real enemies show up and not the perceived ones.]

I know you do have a heart for humanity - despite the times and circumstances my friend. I love you

Actually, that kit belongs to the studio and not me. It is the one I played on many projects over the last five years. It it always wonderful to play in spite of the cramped room. All I have to do is make minor adjustments and I'm ready to get down to business. BTW, one of the adjustments is "tuning" the drums to a melodic/chordal interval, rather than a percussive presence. I deploy a 6/4 inversion from the tonic (root). That is to say the prominent toms being present within a triad and the others octaves off of that first position. It is true magic when the tuning syncs with the key signature of the song being performed.

I respectfully request more attention be paid to what is performed, than what is seen. These times (and circumstances) require performance, not the audio/visuals. Everyone Everywhere... remember those who sacrificed their lives for us to be able to share, as well as those being served with conviction.

Love ya Robert. You are a veteran and I respect you.

Tell Cindy I said hello.

All The Best.

Suss!

P.S. Here is still my weapon of choice: the towels and duck tape is as much to wipe the tears as to muffle the sound of a drummer enforcing Time!

Excellent pic, Suss (the first one). What year was that? What were you recording around that time?

In the second pic of 2006, it looks like you were as good with a vacuum as you are on the drums.
That's one clean room, you hoser. Basketball

Could be the best thing you've said in months, though it's duct tape you Harvard quacker. Art is tears. Blues is roots, the rest is fruits. Tears are an accepted form of Beauty in my book.

Art is tears
Tears are thanks, precursor to gratitude
Gratitude is the 4th dimension, a gift, the highest form of humanity (?).

Gift it up, John!
