Hi Jeff,
Welcome to the site. As a quick answer to your question, probably not.
The Cobham -Duke band concert from Montreux broadcast is owned by Claude Nobs, and he has contracted with Eagle Vision to release the shows from that venue , which they have been doing over the past few years. The problem with getting a show like that out on DVD is money - Eagle Rock doesn't feel they can sell enough copies to warrant the amount of money they would have to put out to put a show like that on DVD. AS we have discussed in this forum many times over the years, jazz-rock fusion isn't considered commercially feasible by record companies period. That's why almost all these artists have to go the independent route, and release their material on small labels, or even publish it themselves. Even our mentor Billy Cobham has his own label now called Creative Media Concepts. It's why the Mahavishnu Orch. Live Cleveland show, already re-mastered still sits in the Sony vaults.
It's the same problem with the Italian tv broadcast , which contains Two For Juan. Who knows where the master is for that show, or whether one even exists anymore ? Who owns it ? etc.
But , the Cobham-Duke band is obtainable from those who trade those tapes in collector circles and the Italian TV broadcast has some of the songs from that show floating around the same circles as well . Happy hunting ! Peace, TED
