Don had asked me to post some photos of my e-kit in one of the threads, but I couldn't remember which one so I started a new one. These are the new mesh heads I purchased and I split the channels on 3 of the drums so I could add the rubber pads onto the kit as well. I use them for percussion effects like a cowbell, a bell tree and a gong ! There isn't a whole lot of room on the rack so I had to fit them where I could ! LOL I plan to add one more cymbal down the road. It's a Roland TD-6 V for those who are interested.

Yeah Ted, it is really a beauty! The heads look the same as mine which are meshed heads. Don't they feel good playing them? But you know what? We make do the best we can with what we have. I was fortunate to have the TD-10 head from my church. The mesh heads I purchased on my own from Roland.

As far as edrums making a difference in playing on adrums; well for me it helps the limbs to stay flexible and it actually preps me to playing tighter on the adrums.

I forgot to ask you Ted; I notice the double beaters. Does the BD pad have enough circumference (circular size) for two beaters to make proper contact? I know my BD pad just makes for one beater. I use a Double-chain Tama Iron Cobra, which I just love, but I notice that where the batter shaft inserts into the pedal's holder, it is slightly to the left and not dead center like most pedals.

So when your pedal is attached to the BD pad's bottom rim, I don't know as to how you make it work or I'm ignorant that it can work or my question is likened to a flying idiot Wink No pun intended.

Aloha,

Hi Rac,

That's my old Pearl bass pedal which I now use on the e-drums since the piece sheared off which would allow me to connect the llinkage for the other pedal to it. I use one pedal on the e-drums although my pad accepts both beaters with no problem. I just want to leave my new pedal in the trap case between gigs because it takes a few minutes to put together and also break down and I'm too lazy to bother with it. LOL

If I can find another photo I took that shows the bass pad, I will post it .

Peace, TED

Hi Ted,
If you don't mind, just thought I show you my edrums. As you can see the heads are like yours and if you can see my foot pedal's shaft holder you may notice that off position. I'm now thinking that offset is for another beater for a dual pedal set up. I think your right - there seems to be just enough space for another beater head - I practice on these a lot and recorded my Conundrum take back in the day. Remember those? Anyway, Roland has proven very durable over time - I really believe it helps. But thank you for sharing your pictures here.

Aloha,
rac
