Cindy and Carlos to Wed

I read that Carlos Santana proposed to Cindy Blackman onstage after she had performed a drum solo the other night , and she accepted. I had no idea they were seeing each other.

Good, lawd!!! Carlos Santana has only been around forever!!!! How old is he now?!

He'll be 63 years old on July 20th, Don.
Cindy is 50 years old.

I've seen worse age differences.

I didn't realize or think that Cindy was that old and I thought Carlos was older, more like 67 or so.... I wish them both the best for sure.

Wow, I am jealous

Hope they come to Hawaii for their honey moon. And while here, they might consider doing a concert and maybe not his new wife on drums but some one like Dennis Chambers or John Blackwell would be too cool for sure!

I mean, whe've got the climate for a memorable honey moon why not a summer outdoor concert. Santana seems to be the only main stream musician that's still doing the concert thing at an old age; retirement dos'nt seem to be on his vocabulary.

On the contrary Rac , a great many musicians as old or older than Santana are still gigging away - Members of Yes, the Who, Moody Blues, C,S N Y , Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Ian Anderson, Felix Cavaliere, Flo & Eddie , Roger Water, David gilmour, David Bowie, and tons more are still gigging away ! Long may they continue or as Neil says "long may you run ".
