Hi Anibal, it's been awhile... Good to see you hear again...

Truthfully, I enjoyed the jazz clips but that 1st speed, "Blast"
thing you put up, I have no idea what that was about.... ???!

Honestly, it sounds like something some little kid would do, sitting
behind the set for the first time.... I say this because I've heard your
past work and I know you can play.... But what the hell was-zat?! affraid

Maybe I'm missing something.... scratch

I thought the blast beat was a fun exercise and an artful wall of sound, somehow relaxing to me. It's a form of white noise like rain and ocean surf. Don, check out his description under the video.

Don ain't feelin' it because he's a perfectionist with strong opinions about music. You can't lay any boogie woogie on the king of rock'n roll.

One of the reasons I started doing this blast thing was because everytime I do clinics, group classes or private lessons, The foot technique questions are the most frequented, So I started developing this style sort of like a demo to show how far I can take my single pedal technique..accidentally I found it "musical" and I`ve been thinking about writting a couple of songs with this.. I`m glad I came up with this, I know this stuff is not for everybody, but I`m enjoying the process of getting there, and my foot is getting stronger every day as well..

LOL! I'm way too imperfect to even consider the thought of doing anything perfectly, Woof.
I just try to do and be the best that I can within the moment and under the circumstances.. Wink

Niki

really dig all the clips!!!

The blast thing is sounding cool to me, its a nice sound cloud - but yet the rhythmic motives are not too unclear!

Something which reminded me of that blast thing is this:
Jamire Williams with Robert Glasper!
Unique!

Hi Niki! thanks fot the link! Jamire Williams is BAD!!!!wow!, I read the comments and he has recieved some criticism, I guess the critics don`t understand his thing...its the 1st time I heard of this drummer, he sounds somehow like Chris Dave, but more accurate and choppy, good stuff...thanks for sharing, I`m planning to make another video with a better sound in the future...Thanks for watching my clips

Greetings from Panamà Very Happy
