Total Time : 41:21
Was out First on a Japan RCA CD in 1990.
Recorded April - June 1975 (A Great Time in all Music)
"Signed to Arista Records, Harvey's first of half-a-dozen albums
for the label was the 1976 release, MARCHING IN THE STREET.
The LP boasts an all-star cast of musicians and singers
including Herbie Hancock, Dave Grusin, Paul Jackson Jr.,
Hubert Laws, Blue Mitchell, Wah Wah Watson, Lee Ritenour,Jerry Peters,
Chuck Rainey, Randy Crawford and Ernie Watts.
· A funk classic that will is sure to please rare groove fans,
MARCHING IN THE STREET includes
compositions by Mason, Ritenour ("Wild Rice"),
Hancock ("Fair Thee Well"), Grusin ("Modaji")
and four Mason originals including the title track which
was a US R&B charted single in 1976
· Notes by Soul Music.com founder David Nathan
including 2011 quotes from Harvey."
Since Harvey was involved with this release
I wish he added some more tracks like the 12" singles of the later recordings,
Or maybe they will be out as well?
Good to see 24bit CD's
still being made.
