Hi D. I was intended to go to Indianna this month to see RTF but that changed cause my daughter will not be there if I went there. She lives there but will be out of that state.

Change of plan here:
Just tonight I purchased my ticket online for the RTF concert that will be in your town, San Francisco. I did'nt have much choice as to where I'll be seated - there was not much left and believe it will be a sell out concert for sure. I actually wanted a better seat but I did not have that choice at this time.

Anyway, I'm landing early morning the day of the concert (Sept. 22).

Would you have suggestions as to a reasonable hotel for my 3 day stay there. I know nothing of San Francisco except being there back in the 70's at a Tony William's LifeTime concert at Keystone. I need to stay within budget because this is not a business trip that I can write off here. ..I'm not picky just reasonable and decent.

I would appreciate the information if all possible and hopefully will be nice meeting you and your wife when I'm there.

God bless my brother and hope to see you soon,

Rac

Rac, I still need to get my ticket. I've been out of the S.F. loop for
a number of years now since I haven't lived there since 1975.

I will check on some things for you and see what I can come up with.
Audrey and I are renewing our vows for our 32nd wedding anniversary
on Sept 10th of this year. We've been deep in the throws of that and it's
been our focus the last few weeks now. we just closed out all the business
and details for the event yesterday (August 2). I will be in touch and will let
you know what my status is concerning the concert. Looking forward to
seeing you. Very Happy Cool

Hey Rac, D makes it sound like San Jose is across the country. I'm in Atlanta, GA and at least 2000 miles from where either of you will be at the same time in September.

May it be known that when there, I'll be traveling to the L.A. area for reasons very personal to me.

Bless you Both.

Racman: In that area near the Warfield are about 100 hotels at different rates From the Ritz, Fairmont, Mark Hopkins and Marriott and more. I suggest you check them out through google for the price range that best suits you. It's an interesting part of San Francisco, the Tenderloin. In a way, as close to a New York City as you will get, I think. I lived there for a while as well. I suggest you try a hotel that is not out of walking distance from the venue if you can make the room rate. You have all of the other services available to you like restaurants, etc. as well. Good luck with that.

Okay D, that 32nd renewing of vows is a great thing and should be committed to for sure. For some odd reason I had the impression that you both actually reside there inside San Fran bay area. But no problem, I had intended visiting there anyway whether RTF was to perform or not. But being they are...WHAT MORE OF A REASON TO BE THERE! You know how I feel about this band.

Unc Suss, that would have been even cool to see you there as well. Maybe sometime in the not-so-distant future.

Boomer, thanks for the consern and the leads. I will definitely google those places and see what will come up for me.

Would any of you have recommendations you know of a club(s) that have good jazz music to sit and listen to there?

Thanks all,
Rac

Rac, we do live in the bay area... we live in San Jose
which is at the southern end of the bay. I get to S.F.
for specific places and events but I just don't visit the
CITY that much. In other words, hanging out in S.F. to
make a day of it....

Jazz club?.... Yoshi's is the place. But you can bet that
There's something going on somewhere in the city where
the jazz scene is concerned. Hopefully we can hook up in
within a space of time that I can show you some of the spots.
