Great to hear from you again Niki,

I check out three vids (Open Solo, Tight Solo & the Lesson Video).

ZMoney9999 has a handle not only upon execution but also turning around the pulse within meter where it almost sound polyrhythmic. What I liked was his ability in the Lesson Vid to play the paradiddle(diddle) permutations at any tempo between the hands and feet, as well as around the kit.

What I also liked is his approach to the kit based upon what he felt at the time (in the Open & Tight solos), rather than merely what his body wanted to do. Oh, to be young again! (LOL! - just kidding!)

Thanks for posting this... hopefully it will provide some ground for positive discussion to the craft, rather some a person's personal preferences. study

He's got chops.... very MONO in the dynamics department... He's young though, he's got time...

Here's another young chopsmaster, Eric Moore... This kid comes from the gospel curcuit... I was one of the judges when he won the
Guitar Center dum off. I stopped doing it because I became very frustrated with the competiton aspect of what should just be music.

I have never heard Eric play in a musical situation. But he is very entertaining to watch. His win has taken him quite far I must admit. He has a endorsement with DW, his own signature stick and a signature cymbal line with Octagon cymbals out of Brazil. He travels all over the world doing clinics.

On Eric Moore

Yeah yeah.....I can't help but to say I'm hearing some John Blackwell influence, no dought. Sounds to me like a lot of God and discipline. Great player ontop along with discipline on the bottom play....incredible gifting Exclamation

Hearing him play on 'patterns' (holding it) would seem well playing in a musical content....would you say?

Thanks for turning us on the Eric Moore (at least those of us that don't read drum magazines). He's a blast; unreal good. Some very fun videos on youtube and here's his myspace where you can hear him in band context:
