Aloha everyone,
I know it's been some time due to some changes happening in my life all for the good and processing it was for my growth...all good and glad to see (read) you all!

I was going through some search on legendary musicians and I came across this one. Non other than the late great Mr. Sonny Payne. His incredible technique combined with musical structure in his solo is a mark that Sonny has been known for. Notice how all other musicians leave the stage for what's to take place. I think it's one of the greatest solos ever recorded in music history, in my estimate.

Equation works out to be A=art and S=Sonny + P=Payne

Hope you enjoy as I did. cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers

It's beautiful to see the greats doing things modern generations think originated with today's players.

I love how the Count stayed right on stage watching the whole thing. He loved his stickmen.

There are number of Payne solos out there and in every one he drops sticks, but he just keeps going.

A lot of that solo is just lost on the MTV generation.
