check out the amazing cajon solo from the percussionist playing clave with his foot the whole time, before terry launches into a solo on his "stripped down" set. i like the way he tunes his drums. sme nice solos from the horns. looks like good ol' Will Lee on bass

Man, the Bozz is getting older. Makes me feel old. The grey face comes along. Ah well. Only as old as we feel. His look never stays the same, does it?

That bass drum up higher on the left. I've never seen him using an elevated bass like that, nor anyone for that matter. Logically they are always on the same plane, for the extension rods to work on pedals. I wonder how that one is set up. Couldn't tell on the vid. Unless it's just a very tall beater shaft.

I've never heard his series cymbals up close, but they sound very thick. I know the cup chimes would anyway, but the larger ones sound very dense. I missed the sound of regular crashes in the BRBB segment. I got that DVD. Some really nice playing by all the drummers on that one. Funny how they all seem out of the their element, save for Tommy Igoe. But then Erskine walks up and just shows everybody how it's done. It's an incredible thing to see, the real language and phrasing of jazz drumming compared to the rock guys doing their thing. There's even a small conversation between Bozzio and Peart, as I recall, about how to get the dotted eighth note to sound right. But Bozzio can swing in his own way, that's for sure.

He's added more ethnic toys to his rig. I love that kind of stuff. Back when Pier One Imports had those things you could get all kinds of bells and percussion in that store. I still have some strings of Indian brass bells from the 70s I got there.

Thanks Kenny for sharing those great videos. I particularly liked the person playing the box drums and I thought he was sensitively complimentary to Mr. Bozzio, would you think? What I also like about Bozzio's performances that it's always stell in dynamics and controlled. He demonstrates incredible amounts of technique and groove I might add. A man of his craft for sure.

Note;
I posted a video on my thread regarding your opinion (Something going on). That post was not intended for arguing differences but rather just noted opinions. But I thought by adding this video will demonstrate what a real debate is by way of discussion and I do not intend to take this any further. Just thought you may want to see that and possibly to ponder it and not encourage debate here on this site. But I would find it a delight to discuss with you privately by way of email if time allows for the both of us. Again, Shalom.

Thank you for your many valuable input here on this site which I've appreciated and respected over the years, though I may not agree to some of it.
