Yesterday was brutal. Waiting
on the results but with a twist.

The oncologist/radiation specialist
that I will be working with mentioned
the highest authority on these part-
icular surgeries and it just so happens
that we know him! We contacted
him and he agreed to look at my case
and all its merits and I am waiting
for his call on whether I should pro-
ceed OR if I will need an intervention.

There is more to this and I will tell
you, once I know. I am anxious
but relieved at the same time.

I will let you know afterwards.

Got the call, late.

C-Scans are good. cheers

He is giving the go-ahead
with my surgeon. All the
indications are straight-
forward. We know what
has to happen and how.

"If you're going to have a
tumor, this is the best place
for it."

We're going for it. I will let
you know the schedule.

Yesterday, turns out to have
been the luckiest day of my
life, again. My son was born
on that day.

The post-op MRI was brutal.  My lower
body was asleep and it was too hot and
the sounds dissonant and irregular.  The
process took 1.5 hours.  Horrible for me.
The way I got through it was watching
myself and Billy play The Dream, in head
and counting other odd rhythms.

Yes.  It will be here, soon, again.
I will post when I know.

Where it stands. Trying to schedule
7 November 2nd surgery.for deeper
margins related to pathology findings.
First surgery has healed well. Stitches
and blood drain removed (good practice
for 2nd). Much more comfortable.

Reconstructive surgery is ready, if
needed. The roundabout takes the
rest of this year, into including the
last 7-weeks devoted to radiation,
which is fortuitously placed in an
area where no organs are present.
This will be Jan-Feb 2014. I will be
up and about during that portion of
the recovery.

All ahead and when it solidifies, I will
let you know.

Thanks, again for your support.

Thinking of you.

As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands (God's Word)
Psalm 119:143
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I've learned when a crisis threatens to overwhelm me, God's Word is a firm foundation to keep me from falling into hopelessness and despair. Do you have a bible near by Pete? Pray that the Spirit of God will draw you to the words written in it in your quiet time. It will bring comfort and strength to soul. Spiritual healing during these kinds of times is what we sometimes forget we need. When the spirit is fortified, it can result positive in the waiting process.

I'm praying for you still.

your brother in Christ,
Rac

Bad overnight. Fluid. No sleep
but frustration led to action and
to the conversations, which take
us to this Thursday's scheduled
second surgery, at 10am CST.
Different hospital but they are all
connected in the same network.
The surgeon and I are comfortable,
there. This is all about getting it
done sooner than not.

Thanks, again, all.

Surgeons and I are prepared.
Tomorrow: it is. They are
confident. We are realistic
about the pain threshold, this
time being higher, as well.
It won't be a surprise to me.
The meds have been doubled
in the ready. I have tons of
tape, bandages, gauze and
you name it.

Bring it on: we say! sunny

See you on the other side!

In the conscious world, again.
Had 2nd surgery yesterday.
When I came to, pain 10 of 10.
Searing. Stronger med plus muscle
relaxant and then managed. IV
placement was a joke, ths time.
A doctor had to do it after 6-8
trainees/supervisors perforated
my hands and arms. That was
not pleasant. The surgeon rolled
his eyes but he did get me in
there after 45 minutes of
blood-letting (half-joke).

Only got his details, today (he
called). He took more of every-
thing. I am guessing the centi-
meter we discussed. He said he
got what he needed but, of
course, the pathology to con-
firm in 4-5 days. We wait again
but with his confidence. It has
will be a tougher recovery but I
mean to recover. When pathology
comes back, I will notify. Thanks,
all, for your support.

Stay strong, Pete.... We will all get through this.
Not a day goes by that you don't cross my mind.

I remember you guys being there for me when I
almost lost my wife in a moments notice. You
and your doctors seem to have a pretty good
handle on this. And God DEFINITELY has you
covered!

WINNING! cheers cheers cheers

Pathology is back and the
news is good. All margins
are negative.

It was a success. I suppose
that all this pain is worth it.

I am uncomfortable, right now
but wanted to share this
important development.

I have been blessed and in
all of you, most certainly.
