Just wondering.

So as to reflect where he is: now.

Very cool, Pete,

Even though I will sorta miss the old pic as it
reminds me of the site when it was really booming
(pun intended), but it's a new day and the new
picture reflects where Billy is TODAY!

To the old picture I say farewell, old friend.  You
represent many years of some good times and often
heated debates...  To the new picture, I say welcome
and hopefully you will the new symbol that brings in a
new life and vitality to the forum.

I really love it for a change. The first was great but I think this one has more dynamics in that Boomer is more of the dominant element. That Tama kit is beautiful to behold and hear. Thanks for the great work... Wonderful! cheers cheers cheers bounce

I also reconstructed my site. A good idea keeping occasional freshness. For my line of work it's a necessity.

Looks great, it updates the Forum to 2015, thanks for the change.

Sorry about all the work on
the site. The truth is that
they have made some changes
that I can't seem to work around
and that have caused the restore
feature not to work exactly right.

Anyway, I spilled upon the image
up above and I really like it and
I want to keep it. Unfortunately,
I can't place it over the original
theme without losing the easier
navigation within the site. This
is the best I can do for now.

I hope you are OK with it.

Regards,

P

Billy looks like he's in a bit of pain in this shot
and I see the look of the forum has really changed.  Suspect

Hmmm, gonna take a little getting used to but the
most important aspect of the forum still remains,
and that is we can still communicate.

lol!

Let's try this, though I must say
that I LOVE the look of the black
kit, with the yellow stripe.

I think it might work.

Let me know what you guys think.

Regards,

MUUUUUCH BETTER!!!  LOVE IT!!

Pete, One small suggestion...  Is it possible to bring Billy's
picture down a bit to where the bottom of the picture is
even with the first text line (Home, FAQ, Search, Etc.)?

I think that would make it look a little better as the pic
looks just a little high.  If not, still very nice!  cheers

Can't seem to find the right
size image for that change,
Don.  Sorry.  I know that
you mean, though.

I tried fooling more with it
but without success. I did
find another image but I went
back to this one.

Hope you like it.

I work inside Dreamweaver but this may work as well regarding Boomer's image. Try taking the image inside a graphic program like Photoshop or CorelDraw. Resize it there so that the bottom lines up with the top of the nav bar than dropped back into the HTML file for viewing. Test first in a browser. But take care that you don't make it too big and lose the quality (pixels) of the image. Best to do in increments larger than too much enlarging from the original.

Another way is to have your web designer add more 'Top Margin' space of the image so that the bottom lines up with the top of the nav bar. That way you can keep the existing size of the image if you choose to.

And by the way I love this new organic look.
Hope this helps some.

Actually, I might be able to work
out imaging issues here, after all
but the Menu's space taken and
justification look predetermined.

I hope you do not mind this image
and the rest of the site's new look,
for now. I will not give up on it.

Keep an eye. pirat

Regards,

Now, that I have the hang of
this image thing, I must say that
THIS image of Billy, with his little
Dachs, is MY favorite.  I am a dog-
guy like Woofus and love all dogs.

...and how about this great portrait
of the man?  This is another fave.

I think I am going to change it up
from time to time and make sure that
I account for the TAMA agreement
but there is no reason not to see our
"father" - the man and in his many
roles in life.

Hi Pete,

This is what I'm in visioning in regards to what you were dealing with. This is what we call in the web business as a rough webpage comp (digital draft). I also like that picture of Boomer with his dog. It's different from the usual drum thing and gives it that personal touch and welcoming for blogs. The one with Boomer behind the kit is cool but seems more like a Tama ad approach, with the drums as a dominant element over it's subject. It could work like it did but I can see where you're going with a new look hea.

Hope this helps somewhat. I know you'll decide the final outcome. This is a freeby. took less than two minutes time.

Shalom,
Rac

Rac, Yes, that's what I meant abut bringing the
picture down a bit... Don't know if it can be done
on the actual site however.

-------------------------------

You may be right. What I do know about web coding is that spaces you see between images (e.g. top, sides of images etc.) are positioned according to code in either pixels or %. Everything seen on a site should be in individual files contained in it's appropriate folders (image files) and html (Hyper Text Markup Language folders) that speaks to network browsers. After the changes are made, these are then 'uploaded' to Petes external remote serving service.

Programers maybe working in a format I may not be familiar with. But again, web sites are using pixels or % for positioning of elements. They should share the same codes being they display on most common web browsers (e.g. chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Safari, Mozilla, Opera etc.).

But anyway, I trust Pete he knows where and what he's doing along with the site maintenance folks. It's coming along great thus far. It will happen.  cheers  cheers

Thanks for the inspiration, guys!
Already, it has been fruitful!

Alongside regular operations, I
will try and do different things
to stimulate the site's appearance
and enhance the boss!

I have an idea to change the logo
image of him, each day or week.
A little variety won't hurt.

Please forgive the experimentation.

this manually?

favorite images of him.

I am hoping you all love them, too.

I think I will get into a routine of
changing them every week or so.
I want to have a lot of images
prepared so it can be interesting
and not the same thing over and
over again.  I am glad you guys
inspired me.

Razz

The black and white images have
a kind of class that befits him but
I will keep on adding and changing
things up.

He is the best.  No doubt.

I hope he is pleased with these
recent changes.
