R.I.P Louis Johnson.

Louis Johnson died on May 21 2015.He was a fantastic bass player,one of my favorite...It's always a pleasure for me to listen to his work with Side Effect,Earl klugh,Gabor Szabo, and many others...R.I.P MR Johnson

He worked as a young bass player
on Grover Washington Jr. 1975 recording
on Knucklehead a rare Rock Guitar Solo by the Late Eric Gale.


Worked Hard as a young player
I watched him live in 1980
on his UK tour as the Brother Johnsons Band
Top Concert.

On Quincy Jones
"Midnight Soul Patrol" 1976 (still not out on CD) (came out years back on Japan CD)
featuring 3 bass players including Louis.
He also played the Rhythm Guitar.
Billy Cobham has a great solo with a Moog Drum
Top Engineer
made that track Bliss.


Louis was special
he will be missed
