It never surprises me how Bill can take on a waltz and turn it into something interesting, colorfully textural and dramatically musical. I can listen to his performances all night and have so much to gain by that.
His swing is just as intriguing. The Count was stated; if it ain't got that swing it don't mean a thing and that has never applied to Stewart. There is something so exciting about Stewart's execution! And as to his influences well, without a doubt, is old school yet he holds to his originality in remaining contemporary - a very unique collaboration of disciplines that will keep him thriving in this business.
