[No news outlet reported that Derf Reklaw
(aka Fred Walker, aka Pharaoh Derf Reklaw Raheem)
sadly died last month, aged 75.
 This week, a two-hour profile on
the percussionist, flautist, composer,
and educator who was a member
of The Pharaohs and Build An Ark,
worked with Ramsey Lewis
and Eddie Harris, contributed
to hip hop records, and collaborated
in recent years with Dwight Trible
and Carlos Niño.]

Derf was Educating so many
A great Multi Percussionist, Flute.
He played a now rare instrument
"Electric Bongos" in 1977.

Infact the Best example of Derf Reklaw
is on the 1977 "Love Notes"  CD /LP
Ramsey Lewis.

A sad loss
and more sad
it was not in any press.
