Return to Forever Live in Montreux CD/DVD

It looks like the U.S. release has been canceled.
It is listed on Amazon.com as "discontinued by the manufacturer".

However at Amazon.UK the CD is listed as March 2nd 2009 and the DVD is
listed as April 27th 2009.

Release dates change for many reasons. It's already out in Japan and will be coming out here. You know where to pre-order it if you want to get it when it comes out.

In the meantime, there is a concert from the tour which was broadcast on Spanish television some months back. It's pretty good, though it doesn't have quite the energy level they had when I saw them in NY. I've had it on DVD for months.

the track I like the most is the 14mins version
'Duel of the Jester and the Tryant.
CD2 , track 6.
Stanley Clarke puts in some Speed Rumbles on his electric
and Chick keeps that original Snythe hook
going among all the new solos, a great power theme
from all 4 musicians

gets you Live with them.


The End of CD2 has a BBC Lifetime Award given to Chick
for Return To Forevern by Producer George Martin
then another version of Romantic Warrior.

The U.S. release for the CD is now March 17th 2009.

The DVD will be coming soon, it is worth it to wait for the U.S. release.
I have been burned to many times paying high prices for imports, only to see
it later at a much cheaper price when the U.S. version is released.
