In 1999 I had a pinched nerve in my right shoulder. my right upper arm and pectoral muscle shriveled down to where they were noticeably drooping. The pain was so bad that I couldn't lie down, I had to sleep sitting up on my living room chair. I started lifting weights again and the pain and atrophy went totally away.... I've been exercising ever since.
