Hi Spanky! Widipedia, though resourceful, is not respected among those who have done the real research; and those who archive reliable/verifiable data. Wikipedia's interface allows anyone to add comments, tags, definitions, etc., based upon their ability to conform to their protocol. I hate to be a stickler, but a young friend of mine told me that his professor/university frowns on a bibliography composed of quotes/citations from Wikipedia. In other words, like Ted said, its unreliable.
However, I can attest to the fact that the internet is a valuable avenue. Just dig deep and seek to verify the information reported - unless you're contributing to it yourself as the "horse's mouth," so to speak.
Thats where I got it from Ted.Ted E. Bear wrote:I haven't checked Wikipedia Spanky - I was referring to allmusic.com which has most of the music of the ages catalogued there. Maybe I'll take a look and see what it looks like.
And just remember, just because someone has put it on the Internet, doesn't necessarily make it true !
Peace, TED
