But I totally agree about the Roc-N-Soc hydraulic throne. Recently put one together for a friend/bassist and it seemed totally solid and comfortable. They're very light, too. Ted, you may wanna trade yours in for the hydraulic because they may be even more stable than the spindle. I wanna try one at the kit, but wonder if these saddles don't allow you to bend forward as much as I might like . . . too sunken in, but that's probably worth saving your back. I'm gonna get one without the backrest for now.
I haven't had any problems as far as comfort.
