I keep musing on Billy Cobham’s “Palindrome.” When doing so, I must ask the question if any of in here really think about the core of this release from “Fruit of The Loom.”
What does THIS mean to you? I can readily wax gross (verbose) – yet that would be inappropriate. I’d rather hear from someone else’s experience and particularly among those who are drummers. I’d rather keep doing what each of us do in corners for the enjoyment of involvement.
No secret however on my end. I’d rather be intimate with our thoughts (and performance) on the music than global with misunderstandings. No misgivings on my end on this or any other forum. I mean that the manner of weaving rhythms is well beyond a “pocket.” The music demands either a pocket or a performance suggesting it with precision. I call it a knife – cutting both and any edge that should be applied to personal relationships on a daily basis.
I thank you Billy on more than one Score. You should know this. What an inspiration you are! Read back and forth (“palindrome”), it means the same. Allow me to purchase the first segment of The Fruit since I’m ingesting the difference between “Torpedo Flow” both then and now. Your treatment and arrangement of Torpedo takes a quantum unique to all of us.
Just acquire Billy’s Palindrome. For now, here is my interpretation of “Torpedo Flow.” When you hear and engraft the difference between what was presented for performance and what is now heard with, I hope you’ll appreciate the muse of Music AND character of ALL of us.

I love you All. Keep sticking to the zone that allows you to produce toward the benefit of others. Please do this. Pay forward. This is what I do; which is why I can never repay the debts attributed to any of us. Take the quantum leap of faith within yourself and show the Way.

Pay attention! Please.
