Liked the interview.

I've seen Prince live and he's a tremendous player, though what he played on this version of Stratus was not so hot. I thought it was funny because I bet most of the folks in the audience probably thought it was a Prince tune he was playing. Sure hope Billy got paid for all the gigs he's been playing it at !

He's playing the Garden. Couldn't get tickets. oh well.

Peace, TED

Thanks for that vid. Boomer's insite and belief in what he does is such a reflection on the level of musicianship and outcome of his years of playing. His insite on how acceptance, respect and appreciation of other musicians (world) in terms of ones progress to playing music is a valued gem that is priceless. This principle over rides the self-centerdness of individuality which is an attitude that had it's days and have now come to it's closure. This teaching principle, for me, came from a beloved jazz piano player back in my learning days where I needed to be harnessed (disciplined). It was only on Pete's/Boomer's sites that this mindset was a reminding recall to awareness and had materialized and became real in my musical life.

I've learned so much from this site and how it has influenced my approach (mindset) to play in retrospect of others and for the music. That is a philosophy I did not have prior to being introduced to this site, orginally starting with Boomers site back five years ago. And that is my thanksgiving for all of you. And you know who you are, that is, and that was.

May the young pick up on this valued insite.

Much Shalom,
racman

Yes This Forum has the Great Bill Cobham
posting as boomer.

It should be Advertised more
as so many Young Drummers need simple help.

I still wonder if the 1981 BBC Drum Clinic
is worth a Limited Edition DVD.
Of course funding is the problem
but I would think the Rights of that Project are Bills, now.

It has 3 Drummers
A Young Jazz Drummer
A Young Rock Drummer
And by 1981 Bill Cobham
had Toured and Worked so much
he could achieve a Great Show for All Drummers.

That is so rare.
