It's just an afiliate endoresment, meaning that it's not a full one. But hey, it's a start! It's with SilverFox Drumsticks and this all came about through the nurturing and helping hand of Dave Latimer. The sticks are great! They are well balanced and they last a good long time. I want to thank Rob over at SilverFox for giving me this opportunity. And of course I want to thank D.L. for all of his help and support. I'm really jazzed about this!

Years ago, I tested their sticks and
talked about it, here, at the site.

Good luck with them, D!!

I don't know if that's a congratulations or a warning.... In any case, I've used the sticks in intensive live performance situations on more than several occaisions and they held up great! I'm on cloud 9 today and I'm lovin it and enjoying the feeling. Laughing Very Happy

LOL

Sorry, Don.

I am not sure if you remember
but I worked with their synthetic
tips, which they promoted as
unbreakable.

Not only did I break the tips but
I clipped a singer in the face,
with a tip that came flying off
the stick, upon impact.

geek

Well, you can imagine. I stopped
using them.

I am sure their wooden tips are
good, though.

jocolor

This was some time ago and I
did let them know, at Grover
(their parent) and hope that it
was taken care, since then.

Looks like they dropped that whole
line of stick, Don. That is good!!

I did love the feel and balance. :-)

HA! Probably not a good idea to tout anything as "unbreakable". The Titanic was boasted by it's builders and it's captain to be unsinkable. Now it rests in two pieces, somewhere between Southampton and New York, at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean 12,460 feet beneath the surface.

I'd never say any drumstick was unbreakable, but I also would not believe anyone that told me so either. Personally, I've never met a drumstick I couldn't break. lol!

I have used and will continue to use these sticks and I honestly don't see anymore problems with them as with any of the other stick manufactures. As a matter of fact, These sticks have lasted twice as long as anything else I've used... We'll see. geek

Don.

Like I said, the wood was great, for
the weight, balance and feel.

They moved on and exactly like
they should have.

I believe you, man and keep on

PS: They said that the tips were
unbreakable, not the stick.

I congratulated you in my heart the first time and now again using electrons. What is an affiliate endorsement, Don?

Attack heads are next for you . . . I have one on a snare drum I recently bought used. For $15 I got the drum and well-built Tama snare stand. It's an older Tama Swingstar and I've been impressed with the drum. And the Attack head seems great. Best $15 I've spent in ages.

You know what Cuz & Neph?... I wouldn't be surprised at all seein' D. Slam's name on any stick he chooses to use. Sounds like he's going to be the Firefox before coming a SilverFox, if you know what I mean? Cool Very Happy

Seriously though, it's not easy getting any kind of endorsement these days from anyone. Unless you're out there playing with MAJOR ACTS, or are a MAJOR ACT yourself, endorsements are near to impossible to get. I congratulate Don again for having achieved this through the assist of Dave and Rob. Hey, if those who don't know, D.Slam isn't timid at all behind the kit... and if Firefox holds up for him, then I think they'd hold up for just about anyone. I'm tempted to try them myself... even though I've only broken about 15 pair over the last year of the Zildjian 6As I use (and that's pretty good for me given the schedule I've been keeping).

My kudos to All of You Guys for looking out for each other. This is why I love this forum in an informative and interactive way.

Thanks Fellas,

I tell you guys these kinds of things not in bragging but just to share what I see to be good news. I simply wanted my cyber family to know and share in something that made me happy and feel a little proud. I told Uncle J. Swell on the phone this morning that I felt a little down that no one besides him (and of course, Dave Latimer who was paramount in this happening for me) was showing any encouragement and support.

So reading all your posts of congratulations and encourgement has really lifted my spirits. It's good for you guys too because J. Swell told me that he had a few choice words for you guys, so you've been spared the wrath of SusseHell. Evil or Very Mad

Really though, thanks guys. Your support means a whole lot to me.

Woof,

They call it an affiliate program because it's not a full endoresement. I'm gonna have to come out of pocket a bit. They call it the program for up and coming artists... Uncle and I were laughing about that on the phone this morning as I was telling him at my age they should be calling it the twilight program. I said that I was on the fast track OUT the door. Then Uncle John said that if I was on the fast, track, then he was on the bullet train!
Neither one of us could stop laughing. Laughing Laughing lol!

Thanks Uncle, thanks everyone. Wink

Neph, Don.

P.S. Oh, Ted, I will have sticks with my name on them... Now tell me, Sharpie's don't smear, correct?! Shocked

Woof,

Having a record with the Colombian drug cartel doesn't count. drunken

Congratulations, Don!! That's a real great thing to happen. May I ask you how this came about? Were you contacted or did you do the first step?

Niki,

David Latimer (D.L.) suggested I get in touch with them and talk to them about this. He told me who I should contact and how I might best present myself under the circumstances. Dave is also an endorser, and they even use his picture.

As for the sticks themselves, they are individually hand-finished using Duracrylx™️, an exclusive formulation that is harder than lacquer which makes these sticks last up to 2X - 3X longer. I've used two pairs in the past and I thought they would never wear out. Also, each pair of sticks are matched by weight and mass, so each pair are purposely matched together.

Thank you, everyone.

Don.

Niki, thanks for your good wishes. Everyone else can KMBA. Actually, I think I got a pretty darn good deal with Columbia. I get 10 cds FREE and then just have to pay regular club prices for five more.

An affiliate endorsement simply means that the manufacturer provides a discount to you for their product(s).

A full endorsement means that both you and them are contracturally obligated in a partnership: they will provide your products at NO CHARGE, and you are obligated to promote them by playing them at every public performance.

As for the Columbian Cartel Woofus alluded to (humorously speaking), I rolled on the floor laughing. But then, that is not a laughing matter, is it? Suspect Suspect Suspect

Just for the record guys, All i did was suggest to Silverfox, that they look at Don... him and his playing did the rest.. really-
Your too modest Don--your great man, and you deserve a lot more.

Sorry I haven't logged in for a while, I just got busy, but it's good to be back! Congrats Don!!
