He was the King of his genre... in his time.

The second video, there, is
one of the better takes on
Buddy's left-hand technique.

Not sure where I posted it
but I believe I put up some
video of Buddy playing on
The Tonight Show and that
particular night, it showed
him somewhat tired and
revealed was his use of a
second-stroke bounce, off
the head, for his famous
left-hand accompaniment.

An incredible player - he is
still a great influence, as far
as drum technique goes and
on all of us.
