I just spoke with Billy via email a couple of days ago. He's got some dates over in Japan coming up and he is going to check out this new line while he is over there. The Yamaha Phoenix system will be Yami's special line of drums.

Billy says:

"Phoenix drums are an extremely high end system that is moving in the direction of the customized drum sets like Gladstone (USA) Brady (Australia) and to some degree, Odery............"

I read up on them and discovered that they are a Hybrid of several interesting wood combinations. I have no doubt that we will see Billy breaking a set of these in within the not too distant future.
