David Williams passed from a stroke

Steve Lukather: "I lost a very dear friend and famed guitarist: David Williams. He passed from a stroke. I had just spoken to him before I left town, I stil have his message on my voice mail at home. Way too young to pass.
I am gutted by this sudden loss. We have played together on countless records. He was most known for the Michael Jackson, Madonna and Brian Ferry.
Myself and Jeff Porcaro, along with David Williams and Paich and Steve P as well, did many other sessions over the last 30 + years. I am blown away by this loss. I loved him very much.
My show in Paris is dedicated to him tonight.
God Bless him and his family,
Luke."

I loved David Williams Guitar
as he held down the Lick for as long as Quincy Jones needed it.
A Great Session player
will be missed.
