I was doing a jazz gig at the Travelers hotel in Miami, Fl. in the 70's and Duffy Sat in on some songs, playing my kit. The guy hit so hard I thought he was going to break my kit.
Vibes related, I'm really looking forward to getting this Bobby Hutcherson cd tomorrow a friend is burning me: http://www.amazon.com/Oblique-Bobby-Hutcherson/dp/B000A2H7SG This album, recorded in 1967, had to wait 13 years to be released. But when it was, it was hailed as one of the greatest albums in this great vibist's long career. The quartet tackles both attractive and challenging material contributed by Hancock and Chambers as well as the leader.
