Hi Billy,
I'm going into the recording studio in a few weeks, and of course I'm going to be re-heading my drums. Have you had any experience using the Evans EC Resonant heads on the bottoms of your toms?

I am going to use the EC2 clears on the batter sides. Any info/opinion would be much appreciated.

Thanks, David

If you have maple, birch or oak shells the resonants are consistent and dependable in terms of providing tonal quality. I use them on my kits, including the PHX. I think they are a very good musical investment, Dave.

Cool! Hey, D.L., what prompted you to switch to Evans?

Thanks Billy,
I have a Yamaha Maple Custom set. I'm definitely going to check them out.

Don,
I have been using both Remo and Evans, It just depends on the drum.
I got interested to check out the evans resonants after seeing that video you posted ith Gatzen.
