Jack Bruce - bass and vocals
Vernon Reid - guitar
John Medeski - organ
Cindy Blackman - drums and vocal

They have a 4 day stint at Yoshi's in Oakland beginning this coming Wednesday
(Tomorrow).

Truth be told, I'm not digging what I'm hearing here that much but I will be opened
minded and I plan to check at least one of these shows out and see what it be like.

Scroll down a little to see the video clip.

They just played 4 nights here at the Blue Note. I wanted to go but could not get anyone else to come along. And the conditions have been bad with all the snow we've been having so I passed. Really wanted to meet Jack Bruce and I'm afraid this was my opportunity gone awry.

I hope you will be pleasantly surprised Don. I also wanted to finally see Cindy play live because I like what she does.

Please let us know what you thought !

thanks, TED

Great the Vernon agreed
to do this.

There is a few Tony Williams type tributes

Allan Holldsworth
and Alan Pasque of course has the better feel
as they worked on the 1975 -1976 recordings with the Late Tony.

Unfortunately, Ted, the only day and time I was able to go, I had a gig.

Interesting clip. I can't get
the taste of her sour views
out of my mind (bad mouth-
ing of Billy) yet.

It's as if they are marrying
two different Lifetimes, with
the personnel and playing.
Not there, for me.

Cindy is a fine player but
the power of Tony is not
in her for that second in-
carnation of the band. It
is a tribute, though. Of
course, he was great.

Regards,
