Great stuff, Dave.

Bilham on drums
Bobby McFerrin
Michael Hedges on guitars (or Bireli Lagrene for a living dream)
John Hicks on piano (or maybe Benny Green for a living dream)
Ornette Coleman on whatever he wants
Jon Camp on bass (whatever happened to him? melodic bass player from Renaissance; seems Charlie Haden would be the better choice)

May as well have Leonard Bernstein (or Slatkin) conducting and a Mick Jagger walk-on.

Boomer has already played with most of the important musicians on the planet in so many varied types of music, that there aren't many situations I can think of that I would like to see.

But since this is a fantasy question there are probably two I would fantasize about:

1. I would like to see Boomer and Steve Gadd, who both come from a drum corps foundation in their playing, get together with a selected all-star drum line of the best kids that are out there in drum corps right now , and play. It would be a tremendous boost for drum corps across the country, and I think would be a real fun thing for both of these drummers to re-visit at this time in their lives.

2. I would like to see the original M.O. reunite. Since Jan Hammer is the lone holdout on this, I would suggest Stu Goldberg as the keyboardist.

Peace, TED

Seems Scott Henderson is a great pairing and it hasn't happened before, though I know Scott would be way into it being a longtime fan of Billy. He was beautifully covering Spectrum material by 1976 and probably before then . . .

Woofus, I was listening to Scott Henderson’s albums “Dr Hee” and “Nomad” the other day, great stuff. Here’s a clip of Chick Corea’s Electric Band with Scott Henderson on guitar from 1986. Dave Weckl looks young here, I think he was around 25 at the time. This tune “King Cockroach” is from a jazz festival in Bern, Switzerland. I have this tape, it’s around 80 minutes and the quality is superb both musically and technically (good picture quality and stereo sound). The band plays six tracks from their first album
